Must see London exhibitions - Winter '10

Here at Spinning Hat, we love taking full advantage of all the fantastic exhibitions London has to offer. They're a great source of inspiration and usually a really fun day out. Listed below are a few exhibitions that you shouldn't miss out on.

Enchanted Palace

Every now and again you get sent a press release for something that actually sounds completely brilliant. This is definitely one of those occasions.


There's quite a lot going on, but we'll keep it brief. In short Kensginton Palace is being transformed into the Enchanted Palace by acclaimed theatre company WILDWORKS in collaboration with a host of big name fashion designers like Vivienne Westwood, William Tempest and Stephen Jones.

Dream-like installations, film projects, sound, performance and fashion combine with the unique splendour of Kensington Palace to create something truly magical.

V&A Illustration Awards 2010

The V&A Illustrations are held annually in order to highlight the finest in book and editorial illustration produced every year throughout the UK.



On display are works by the winners and selected other entrants.

Inspired By....2010

This exhibition, 'Inspired by' at the V and A showcases work by students of all different abilities, using a range of media, from art, craft and design. The work is judged and a winner is chosen from each categorty. It was set up to encourage students and to invite them to use the V and A's vast collection as inspiration to their work.
