As always Spinning Hat have some more brilliant news for you! The writers of Peep Show have unveiled information of the forthcoming 7th series.
In an interview on the Channel 4 site, Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong gave details that the 1st episode would pick up immediately after the last scene of the 6th series, with Mark (David Mitchell) and a pregnant Sophie (Olivia Colman) rushing to the hospital.
"We thought long and hard about whether we should join the show three months down the line or whether we should directly continue it," explained Armstrong. "And in the end we decided that we've seen a lot of tense moments in Mark's life, but seeing him at the birth of his child felt like something we just couldn't afford to miss."
"There will be a new love interest for Jeremy as well," added Bain. "We haven't cast that yet, though."
The team also confessed that they were unsure how long the sitcom would go on, with Bain insisting that the writers "need a break".
"It feels like... we might both throw up if we had to think about writing the next series right away," agreed Armstrong. " But I don't think we could think about it stopping."
Peep Show will be back in this November!
